Dayton Commercial Photographer & Videographer

In July 2023, I photographed my third Major League Baseball game at Great American Ball Park. It was the Cincinnati Red’s and the San Francisco Giants. This was the third MBL game this year I have photographed, and it did not disappoint.

Over the last several years Jason Woodard of Woodard Development and the developer Crawford Hoying, have allowed me to photograph several properties in downtown. Earlier in 2023 I got to photograph Crawford Hoying’s The Monument on West Monument Avenue in downtown Dayton. This beautiful modern apartment complex next to RiverScape MetroPark has spacious apartments with nice views of the Great Miami River.

As part of my ongoing quest to photograph every building project in downtown Dayton, I gained legal access to photograph the AC Hotel Dayton on First Street. The is Dayton’s newest hotel (as of mid 2023) and is in the northeast section of downtown. The hotel’’s aesthetic is modern and artsy.

June 6, 2023, saw the Major League Debut of Elly De La Cruz, shortstop for the Cincinnati Red’s.  In a back-and-forth baseball game between Cincinnati and the Los Angeles Dodgers, De La Cruz elicited rousing applause and standing ovations.  The 6-foot 4-inch prospect provided an electric charge to the fans at Great American Ball Park.

In May 2023 I was granted a Cincinnati Red’s media pass through CityBeat, a publication I shoot concert for. I don’t follow and sports and don’t really enjoy watching sports. As I grew up on Red’s baseball, I thought it would be fun to photograph a MLB game. When my pass came through for the Reds vs St. Louis Cardinals on May 23, 2023, I was thrilled. At Christmas 2022 I photographed the 2nd annual Holly Days at the Dayton Arcade. This Christmas tradition features performances, craft vendors, food vendors, and a great community gathering space. I have been photographing the Dayton Arcade since 2017 when the City Of Dayton owned it, and it was left for dead. This is the second year in a row that Dayton Arcade had me out to photograph this beautiful and festive Dayton Christmas / holiday event. It was nice seeing all of the Dayton vendors selling their arts, crafts, wares, and food.

During the Summer of 2022, I photographed the Montgomery County (Ohio) administration building and the Great Miami River. I have done this before and my image is still featured on the MCOhio.org website. I decided to photograph this building from various spots on the west side of the river.

In August 2022 I photographed another Dayton Dragons professional baseball game at Day Air Ballpark in downtown Dayton Ohio. I normally don’t photograph sports, but it had been a while since I last photographed a minor league baseball game. The staff at the ballpark is excellent, and the facilities can’t be beat. This game was between the Lansing Lugnuts and the Dayton Dragons.

As one of the official Dayton Arcade photographers, I have been granted access that almost no one has. One experience I had this summer was getting in a bucket truck to photograph the Kuhns Building at Dayton Arcade. The Kuhns Building was undergoing a massive power washing for the first time in decades. The power washing brought out lost details of this architecturally beautiful building in downtown Dayton Ohio.

In 2022 I photographed the exterior of Paul Brown Stadium, home of the Cincinnati Bengals NFL football team. In 2022 Paul Brown Stadium became Paycor Stadium. While walking around The Banks and the Ohio River in Cincinnati, I photographed the exterior of this NFL stadium. It isn’t the best or prettiest stadium in the NFL, but it is fun to see a Bengals football game here. This is the stadium where I first photographed Garth Brooks.
