The Monument Dayton Apartment Complex By Developer Crawford Hoying

Over the last several years Jason Woodard of Woodard Development and the developer Crawford Hoying, have allowed me to photograph several properties downtown. Earlier in 2023 I got to photograph Crawford Hoying’s The Monument on East Monument Avenue in downtown Dayton. This beautiful modern apartment complex next to RiverScape MetroPark has spacious apartments with nice views of the Great Miami River.

If you are familiar with downtown Dayton, there was an underutilized Wright State University building just to the east of the Engineer’s Club. It was an ugly 1960s/1970s building that had zero personality. So when I heard it was being razed and something new was going in, I was excited. So when I arrived at The Monument, my first reaction was “What an upgrade!” The building fits into Dayton’s revitalization while standing out as a modern housing option. Dayton has a good mix of repurposed buildings such as the Dayton Arcade and new construction such as this.

I love creating Dayton Ohio commercial photography for myself and for various Dayton-area developers.

Living In Downtown At The Monument Dayton And Other Apartments

With downtown Dayton’s resurgence as a livable city, apartment complexes are vital to expanding housing options in the city. Other projects such as Cannery Lofts, Water Street apartments, the Arcade, and more, have great numbers of people moving to town. With the Monument specifically, the location is great. Directly across Monument Avenue to the north is RiverScape and the Great Miami River. The park, bike path, and parking garages are all within a 5-minute walk. This makes the property an ideal location for people who want to live downtown.

Living in downtown Dayton is an exciting and vibrant experience. With its revitalized streets, trendy eateries, and thriving arts scene, downtown Dayton offers a unique urban lifestyle. The beautiful architecture, ranging from historic buildings to contemporary lofts, provides a diverse range of housing options. From morning coffee at a local café to evening strolls along the riverfront, downtown Dayton offers endless opportunities for both relaxation and entertainment. The close-knit community fosters a strong sense of belonging, and there are always events and festivals happening just steps away from your front door. Whether you’re enjoying a concert at the Levitt Pavilion or exploring the Dayton Arcade, downtown living in Dayton offers an unparalleled combination of culture, convenience, and camaraderie.
