Magnolia Barn at Magnolia Estate Tip: Give great directions to guests so they don’t visit Canopy Creek Farm or Rosewood Manor, both within 1/4 mile of each other. I have seen, repeatedly, guests showing up at the wrong wedding venue. There are three wedding venues right when you enter Miamisburg, and it is easy to mix them up.
One of my goals is to be a resource for couples like you who are searching for the perfect Dayton wedding venue. If you have a question about Magnolia Barn or any Dayton, feel free to ask. I’ll be happy to share my experience even if you don’t book with me.
Magnolia Barn at Magnolia Estate in Miamisburg, Ohio is a beautiful outdoor wedding venue that offers indoor reception space. I recommend this Dayton wedding and reception venue for small to medium-sized weddings. The indoor space nearest the parking lot is a large bridal suite with air conditioning, mirrors, lights, and styling chairs. On the opposite end of the event building is a walled-off area for the bartenders.
Outside the bar area is an open-air room that allows for beautiful views of the hilly landscape and great breezes. The third and largest space is a beautiful, air-conditioned reception hall with large windows overlooking the outdoor wedding area and gazebo. The gazebo and arbor are white and beautiful surrounded by rows of white chairs for the ceremony. Choose Magnolia Estate’s Magnolia Barn for your outdoor wedding and indoor reception in Dayton. Lastly, this is a great indoor and outdoor Dayton wedding venue.
“Kevin is so talented and an excellent, professional, photographer. Very reasonably priced for all the photos he does. Kevin photographed our daughter, Hannah, and her fiance Trent, in engagement pictures last fall and small wedding pics in late July. Kevin will take the photos for Hannah and Trent next July as well for their celebration ceremony and reception. Strongly advise you to speak to Kevin for any special photography needs you have. (I was NOT paid to say that, he is just that good :))” – Father of the bride
Wow this wedding at Magnolia Barn, Miamisburg, Ohio, was fantastic. This Magnolia Estate property is the perfect indoor-outdoor wedding venue just 12 minutes south of downtown. Combine a classy, beautiful wedding venue and an energetic couple and you get an ideal wedding day.
I loved the couple, but the groom was my favorite. Don’t get me wrong. The bride was great. The groom and I bonded (engagement session and wedding) over our love of aviation. He works for a legacy cargo company whose planes I really want to photograph. I could nerd out over aircraft types with him anytime! The bride had lots of ideas and was perfect at relaying them to me. I made sure to get all the images she wanted as well as the artistic ones I wanted. We even got an epic sunset after the wedding.
In general, wedding couples can use the large gazebo or pergola behind the barn for ceremonies. Some couples choose to have the ceremony in the field just to the west between the barn and Rosewood Manor. There is plenty of outdoor from for weddings and for guests to roam around during receptions. The reception barn building houses the reception hall, open-air bar, restrooms, bridal suite, and groom’s room.
aturday in September 2018, I photographed my first Magnolia Barn wedding. The bride and groom were spectacular and provided a great deal of time for wedding portraits. They were up for all of my suggestions including a few minutes for sunset wedding portraits. Although it was very hot, the wedding suite, groom’s room, and reception hall are all air-conditioned. I highly recommend this Dayton wedding and reception venue for weddings with 100 or so guests.
Upon arriving at the Barn, just 8 minutes from Interstate 75, I was pleased with the way the property looked. There is a private residence that houses the groom’s room (basement of the house). Once past the house, there is a large parking lot with plenty of room for guests, vendors, and more. The indoor space nearest the parking lot is a large wedding suite with air conditioning. Walking through the door on the south side of the suite are the restrooms and a small room for the bartenders. This room has a garage door that opens up to the second room which is open air on two sides and has the reception hall on the third side. I believe this area has garage doors for inclement weather. The third room is a beautiful, air-conditioned reception hall with large windows overlooking the outdoor wedding area and gazebo.
Gauge, a DJ from Indianapolis’ DJ Connection did a fantastic job. He showed up early for the outdoor wedding and was able to mic the bride, groom, and officiant. When I photograph a wedding, I always hope the DJ is able to amplify the ceremony. Generally, very few people can hear a wedding ceremony, so when I experience a DJ who goes the extra mile, I like to give him props. Gauge did a great job keeping the reception moving, although he didn’t have a great deal of leeway due to a pre-determined list of songs from the awesome bride and groom.

“We could not be happier! Kevin has excellent and timely communication, he’s punctual, friendly, and talented! He did our engagement session and our wedding day and both produced fantastic results. He’s fun to be around and makes the photo sessions fun too. I was amazed at the amount of photos received from our wedding day and we received them before the honeymoon was over! Just fantastic. We would highly recommend!” – Christie M.
