Rosewood Manor is one of my favorite wedding venues to shoot as a Dayton wedding photographer. The venue sits just south of Dayton on Benner Road, right between Magnolia Barn and Canopy Creek Farm. All three spaces are part of Magnolia Estate, so the whole area feels peaceful, open, and perfect for relaxed Dayton, Ohio weddings.
When you arrive at the manor, you’ll drive down a long parking lot toward the bright white building at the back of the property. Before you reach the entrance, you’ll pass a small fountain. It may look simple at first, but it photographs beautifully — especially during golden hour. Some of my favorite Rosewood wedding photos have been taken right in front of that fountain.
The venue is a two-story, southern-style manor built into the hillside. Its white exterior and tall windows create clean, natural light, which makes it ideal for timeless wedding photography in Dayton. Inside, the space feels bright and open with a classic look that works for almost any wedding style.
On the right side of the building, you’ll find a small bridal suite. It’s cozy but great for makeup touchups and a few getting-ready portraits. The double staircase inside is one of Rosewood’s standout features. It leads to a second-floor balcony that overlooks the ceremony space and the creek below. As a photographer, I love using this spot for wide shots and unique angles you can’t get anywhere else.
Most ceremonies take place outside under the wooden pagoda next to the building. Guests sit on the concrete patio, and there’s extra room on the balcony above for larger crowds. It’s an easy setup that keeps everything close and stress-free throughout the day.
Rosewood Manor can accommodate 200+ guests, making it perfect for medium and large weddings. The property also has plenty of great portrait locations. The wooded area behind the manor is especially beautiful. It works well in full sun, shade, and overcast weather — a big win for consistent, flattering wedding photos in Dayton Ohio.
One of my favorite recent weddings here was a vow renewal for two incredible grooms. Their original wedding plans changed because of the pandemic, so this day felt extra special. Even though it was cold, they chose outdoor portraits, and we got one of the best sunsets I’ve captured at this venue. Right as the sky lit up, the fountain turned on, giving us those glowing, dramatic shots I love. As an LGBTQ-friendly Dayton wedding photographer, capturing their celebration meant a lot to me.
Couples choose Rosewood Manor at Magnolia Estate for its quiet setting, beautiful light, and easy layout. If you’re planning a wedding in the Dayton area and want a venue with charm, open space, and great photo opportunities, Rosewood is a fantastic option.
As a wedding photographer, Rosewood is a dream wedding portrait location. The fountain offers dreamy reflections at sunset, and the wooded grounds provide endless backdrops for creative portraits. Because the balcony gives me a higher vantage point, I can shoot from unique angles without getting in the way of guests — perfect for capturing candid moments and grand architectural vistas.

I had the honor of photographing a meaningful celebration for two wonderful grooms. The pandemic disrupted their wedding, so we celebrated with a vow renewal at Rosewood Manor. Even on a chilly day, they wanted outdoor family portraits, and I loved every minute. We ended with sunset portraits by the manor, and the fountain ran just long enough for a magical shot.
One of the most memorable moments was when the fountain unexpectedly turned on during my second shoot there. The warm glow of the sunset softened the manor’s white walls, creating a glowing, ethereal look. As an LGBTQ-friendly wedding photographer in Dayton, working with this couple was a true joy. Their love, their trust, and their story mean a lot to me, and I’m grateful for their five-star reviews.

Choosing Magnolia Barn at Magnolia Estate, Rosewood Manor at Magnolia Estate, Ivory Meadows, or Bicentennial Barn, you get you a great Dayton wedding venue.
