Country Club Of The North is a destination for those seeking an exquisite golf and social experience. My Take On A Wedding Here:
The reception facility at Country Club Of The North in Beavercreek, is one of many golf course venues in Dayton. This top-notch clubhouse is perfect for wedding receptions with up to 200 guests. The large windows allow great natural light during daytime receptions. The outdoor patio is large and overlooks the beautiful golf course.
My most recent wedding here was early in the day and in the dead of winter. A light snowfall had happened, and the skies were gray. When I entered the clubhouse, it was filled with light and color, telling me it was going to be a good day. The bride and groom were in great moods as was the wedding party. There is a semicircle set of windows (see photos below) that provides a perfect frame for wedding portraits and family photos. I would love to photograph a summer ceremony here.
Important Information
One thing to keep in mind is that Country Club Of The North is located 13 miles southeast of downtown. For wedding parties and guests driving from the other side of downtown Dayton, it can take a while to arrive. In other words, plan for plenty of time since this is outside the average area where people travel.
- Tip: Don’t have tall floral centerpieces as they will block guests from seeing one another. This reception facility is really good for events, but it used to be awkward and separated. I was very pleasantly surprised the last time I was there, as everything had been beautifully redone.
- Tip: Utilize the massive outdoor patio during the warm months. It adds a new space and dimension to events.
