Just 30 minutes north of Dayton is High Acre Farm in Piqua Ohio. This Dayton area wedding venue is a repurposed horse farm that is absolutely gorgeous. Set in out in the country amongst trees, ponds, and rolling hills, this venue is the perfect indoor-outdoor wedding venue. Upon arrival, you drive down a beautiful tree and pond-lined road to a large parking lot. Next to the parking lot are three buildings, one to the south with repurposed horse stables, one to the west, a repurposed breeding barn, and one to the north, a reception and party hall.

The Buildings

The southernmost building, a beautiful brick and wood beam building, has several guest rooms available to rent for a wedding or event weekend. This is a great option if members of your wedding party are from out of town and need accommodations. The main building, now to the left, is a gorgeous ivy-covered brick building that houses a huge bridal suite, groom’s suite, and kitchen/eating area. This Miami County wedding venue is one of a kind.

The northernmost building is very close to the other two, forming the third side of a pond-facing “U,” and it is the party and reception building. This indoor-outdoor building is large with a wall of glass that opens to a patio and pond on nice days. There is plenty of seating for wedding guests and a beautiful view of the pond. Just outside to the east is a large patio with a fire pit set along the banks of the pond. A separate catering room and buffet area are situated at the back of the building and provide ample space for wedding caterers to work. The barn is placed nearby and is adequately sized for this venue.

Bridal Suite

The bridal suite, in the westernmost building, features several huge windows, a sitting area, tables, mirrors, chaining rooms, a bedroom, and all the space needed for several bridesmaids (and brides) to get ready.

Groom’s Suite

The groom’s suite features a bar, huge television, couch, chairs, and lots of dark, bold features. It is absolutely perfect for several groomsmen to get ready. Additionally, there is a large dining room and kitchen for use by guests and clients who stay overnight. Each room is sectioned off to provide privacy.

Ceremony Location

The wedding ceremony takes place outdoors in the middle of the “U.” It has rows of removable chairs facing east toward a large raised stage and pergola for the wedding couple, officiant, and wedding party. Once the wedding is done, the chairs can be cleared to reveal a huge concrete, well-lit, outdoor wedding reception area and dance floor. There are plenty of spaces at this property to have guests wander off or break into smaller groups. This isn’t a wedding venue where everyone has to spend every second together.

This Piqua wedding venue is worth the drive to check out. This is a five-star, first-class Dayton area wedding and reception venue. If I could photograph weddings at Timeless Events At High Acre Farm every week, I would be so excited!
