Black Ankle Vineyards is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the Maryland countryside. As you traverse the undulating hills and take in the panoramic views, you can already sense that an extraordinary experience awaits you. Established in 2002, this family-owned winery has quickly earned a reputation for producing exceptional wines that reflect Maryland’s rolling landscape.
Over the last several years Jason Woodard of Woodard Development and the developer Crawford Hoying, have allowed me to photograph several properties in downtown. Earlier in 2023 I got to photograph Crawford Hoying’s The Monument on West Monument Avenue in downtown Dayton. This beautiful modern apartment complex next to RiverScape MetroPark has spacious apartments with nice views of the Great Miami River.

As part of my ongoing quest to photograph every building project in downtown Dayton, I gained legal access to photograph the AC Hotel Dayton on First Street. The is Dayton’s newest hotel (as of mid 2023) and is in the northeast section of downtown. The hotel’’s aesthetic is modern and artsy.
During the Summer of 2022, I photographed the Montgomery County (Ohio) administration building and the Great Miami River. I have done this before and my image is still featured on the MCOhio.org website. I decided to photograph this building from various spots on the west side of the river.

In August 2022 I photographed another Dayton Dragons professional baseball game at Day Air Ballpark in downtown Dayton Ohio. I normally don’t photograph sports, but it had been a while since I last photographed a minor league baseball game. The staff at the ballpark is excellent, and the facilities can’t be beat. This game was between the Lansing Lugnuts and the Dayton Dragons.
In 2022 I photographed the exterior of Paul Brown Stadium, home of the Cincinnati Bengals NFL football team. In 2022 Paul Brown Stadium became Paycor Stadium. While walking around The Banks and the Ohio River in Cincinnati, I photographed the exterior of this NFL stadium. It isn’t the best or prettiest stadium in the NFL, but it is fun to see a Bengals football game here. This is the stadium where I first photographed Garth Brooks.
