For my 2 day trip into the city (Manhattan), I chose to stay in Times Square, as my favorite hotel, The Knickerbocker Hotel is located there. This hotel is high-class and expensive, but the central location and quality of everything at the hotel cannot be beaten. The staff is excellent, and I love photographing the property! Give it a shot next time you visit New York City! Find it at 42nd Street and Broadway. New York City travel photos are incredibly fun for me to create.

Every few years, I take a weekend trip to New York City to create new portfolio images. My last visit was in August 2019, and I was thrilled with the photo ideas I captured. Having visited NYC three times before, I focused on discovering fresh, beautiful locations for wedding and engagement photos.

Creating New York City Travel Photos From The Water

I spent the entire time in Manhattan except for a 2.5-hour Circle Line Tour called “Best of NYC Cruise.” This $44 cruise departs Pier 83 (42nd Street) at the West Side Highway. The tour circles Manhattan along the East and Hudson Rivers. It passes landmarks like the Freedom Tower, Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Harlem, and The Vessel. This cruise offers incredible views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Roosevelt Island, Governors Island, and Queens.
