I Created Stunning Urbana Senior Photos

In April 2026, I was hired to photograph this St. Paris Graham High School senior photos. I had worked with this family in 2025, photographing a University of Dayton marriage proposal. Creating Urbana senior photos was one my photography goals for 2026. I drive through Urbana several times per year, always noting how great it would be for senior pictures. This family helped me achieve my Urbana senior pics goal. I could not be any happier with the photos.

Urbana Brewing Company – Photographing In A Bar

Urbana Brewing company on the northwest corner of the downtown roundabout allowed us to use their vintage bar area for 30 minutes on a Sunday morning. The student makes her own jewelry and wanted it highlighted in the photos. I set up my lighting and knocked out 30 minutes or vintage bar senior photos. The bar had an old brick wall and a giant framed mirror that went perfectly with her outfit.

To make the most out of our time in the bar, I had her mom and grandma there to help. Sometimes, too many people at a senior photo session can be overwhelming for the student, but not today. Her mom helped with the styling while her grandma helped with the posing.

Historic Downtown Urbana Senior Photos

After our time at the brewery was over, we started walking around the historic downtown area. They had ideas about where to go, and we did eventually get to those. What I enjoy doing it walking around to let inspiration strike me. There were so many cool buildings, old doors, rusty stairs, and more to make interesting photos. A white washed wall and a painted USPS mail box were two of my favorite location. I was showing the mom and grandma that you can make beautiful pictures out of mundane things such as a mailbox.

Urbana Ohio Park Senior Photos

To end the session, we drove to a local park about 5 minute north east of the roundabout. The high school graduate changed on the way so she’d be ready when we arrived. We walked around for a few minutes dodging the geese that claim the park as their own. While I wasn’t overly in love with the park photos, I really like the one on the table where she is lying on her belly. After that photo, we said our goodbyes and headed home.
