I love spending my free time on work trips photographing the sites, both natural and man-made. On two recent trips to Tucson Arizona, I captured these nice Tucson travel photos that capture the natural beauty that surrounds this desert city. I ventured up into the mountains on the way to Mount Lemon and found Windy Point Vista. At an elevation of around 5000 feet, I watched the sunset over the desert valley. It was amazing to watch! Tucson’s Windy Point Vista is THE spot for Tucson sunsets.
Being so high up in the mountains, it was approximately 20 degrees cooler than on the scorching desert floor. So, it was quite pleasant to sit for hours watching the sun go down. There was a dip in one of the rocks, so I poured my water bottle to create a puddle. This is how I captured the sunset reflection photo.
For the other landscape photos, I used a classic photography tip to enhance these photos. In several of these, I have a foreground element that gives the image context and depth. I was very happy with the way these turned out. At least one image has been used by the Tucson Arizona tourism and visitor center. I am a Dayton Ohio based travel photographer.
Located high in the Santa Catalina Mountains, Tucson’s Windy Point Vista offers a breathtaking panoramic view that is sure to leave visitors in awe. As the name suggests, this popular destination is known for its strong winds, which add an invigorating energy to the experience. The vista provides a stunning vantage point of the vast desert landscape below, with its rolling hills, rugged canyons, and vibrant flora. Nature enthusiasts and photographers flock to Windy Point Vista to capture the beauty of the colorful sunsets that paint the sky in hues of orange, pink, and purple. It’s a place where you can feel the power of nature while being captivated by its exquisite beauty.
