These Two Grooms Had An Awesome Wedding At A Golf Course Home

These two grooms made my 215th wedding as a wedding photographer in Dayton Ohio so great. I have photographed several LGBTQ weddings in Dayton, Cincinnati, and Columbus, but this was my first wedding with two grooms. We had a great 30-minute portrait session at sunset on a golf course in 30-degree temperatures. They were so great at following my subtle directions and even had ideas of their own. I love photographing LGBTQ weddings in Dayton, LGBTQ weddings in Cincinnati, and LGBTQ weddings in Columbus. Love is love, and I loved how these two grooms had an awesome wedding at a golf course home.

I am going to get more time with these two in 2022 for their reception, but I wish I had more time tonight. The sun sets so early this time of year, and we didn’t get much time outside. What little time we get we make the best of it. Their suits worked so well with the sunset and the colors of the golf course. Blue suits looked good on these two gentlemen. I am looking forward to shooing them again at Rosewood Manor next year.

I pride myself on treating all couples the same, but up until this wedding, I had only photographed bride/groom and bride/bride combinations. I hadn’t photographed groom/groom or Trans couples yet. I was incredibly excited about this couple since it was my first wedding with two grooms. I wanted to challenge myself to pose two guys together when I had no experience doing so. It turned out to be amazing, partly due to their willingness to give me plenty of time on that cold evening. Over the next two years, I’d photograph my first two Trans weddings. I love being a wedding photographer!
