As a wedding photographer in Dayton Ohio, I really enjoy photographing weddings at The Brightside Music & Event Center just east of downtown Dayton. The Brightside is an eclectic wedding and reception venue literally just a few seconds past the railroad tracks at 3rd Street and Webster Street. When you arrive for the first time, you don’t know what to expect. The building is large and industrial-looking, making this a mysterious place. Once you enter, it becomes clear that this place is going to rock as a wedding reception venue.
There is a smaller upstairs room where the wedding couples have small ceremonies with their closest friends and family. During our time taking bridal photos, I utilized the Dayton mural on a trailer in the parking lot, the stage in the bar area, and several settings in the large downstairs event hall. The most unique wedding photo I took at this December winter wedding has to be a photo of the wedding couple standing on a scissor lift.
If you are looking for a good Dayton wedding venue, check out The Brightside Dayton. The owner, Hamilton Dixon, is very nice and allowed us free reign of this Dayton venue. Being one of the Dayton wedding photographers who have photographed at this venue is such a great feeling. Every event here is different based on which room you choose and the vibe you are going for. I’ve seen very simple receptions with a single floral arrangement all the way to extravagant receptions where the couple spends huge amounts of money on flowers. Think of this venue as a bad-ass blank canvas for your wedding day.
