Travel Photographer Based In Dayton

Seattle Washington was the most amazing place I have visited in the last 25 years. My wife and I have been to beaches, big cities, mountains, deserts, and islands. For me, it doesn’t get any better than Seattle Washington, and the Pacific Northwest. Five stars is not a high enough rating for this part of North America.

On our final full day in Seattle, September 2022, we took the Washington State Ferry from downtown Seattle to Bainbridge Island. The moment the ferry pulled away from the pier, I felt as if I was in a different world. The authentic vintage ferry was huge and beautiful. As we left the Seattle skyline and a Norwegian cruise ship in the distance, we approached Bainbridge Island. This island features a great little town, good restaurants, and local shopping. I highly recommend spending a day on the island.

As a professional travel photographer based in Dayton Ohio, I primarily photograph in Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinnati. I spend my free time as a travel photographer, aviation photographer, concert photographer, and Dayton photographer photographing all things Dayton. My passion is being a wedding photographer in Dayton, Ohio.

I love spending my free time on work trips photographing the sites, both natural and man-made. On two recent trips to Tucson Arizona, I captured these nice Tucson travel photos that capture the natural beauty that surrounds this desert city. I ventured up into the mountains on the way to Mount Lemon and found Windy Point Vista. At an elevation of around 5000 feet, I watched the sun set over the desert valley. It was amazing to watch!

In late February 2021 I spent a day scouting engagement photography locations around Chicago. In the process of discovering locations to photograph recently engaged couples in Chicago, I also spent time photographing CTA’s The L, elevated train / subway system in downtown Chicago. I have always like trains, but urban subways are a fascination of mine. The Chicago L photos below are of the elevated train line in The Loop and things seen from the Brown Line train to Merchandise Mart.

I took my 5th boat tour with Wendella Tours & Cruises in October 2020. The Chicago city photos below are of buildings and other things you can see from the Chicago River. The Wendella Architecture Tour travels all three branches of the Chicago River, and the views are excellent. Some of the things you can see are 77 West Wacker, Merchandise Mart, train bridges, Willis Tower (Sears Tower), Civic Opera House, and several Amtrak trains. I love being a Chicago travel photographer.

In March 2021 I spent a day photographing downtown Columbus, just for fun. I found so many incredible photography spots to use in the future. Many of the best Columbus photography locations were to the west of the city along the Scioto River. The rest were in the core of downtown Columbus.

On a cool late summer day in September 2020, I traveled to Chicago to do my first traveling engagement shoot. This bride and groom (who are awesome) are getting married in Dayton, Ohio but live in Chicago. After many changes due to weather and COVID-19, I made my way to Lincoln Park, Chicago, early one Saturday morning.
