This sister site to Magnolia Barn, Rosewood Manor is a southern-style plantation wedding venue just south of Dayton. It is located on Benner Road between the barn and Canopy Creek Farm. The three venues make up the bulk of the Miamisburg wedding venues.
When you arrive at the manor, there is a long, large parking lot with the venue at the back. To enter you walk past a fountain between the parking and the building. There is nothing special or grand about this fountain, but it provides great photo opportunities, especially during sunset. The two-story reception hall sits on the side of a hill facing the northwest and is white and bright
Upon entering Rosewood Manor, you are met with an open two-story floor plan directly inside the door. Large windows line the north, south, and east sides, providing great natural light. To the right is a bridal suite/wedding suite that is usually used by the bride and bridesmaids. It is only large enough for 3 people at a time to do wedding prep. Normally, there are 6-10 people crammed in here for final hair and makeup touch ups. I recommend only using this as a staging room as it is small-ish and can get hot. You’ll want to keep the blinds close or everyone coming from the parking lot will be able to see you.
Along with the open floor plan are a bar at the back, a grand dual staircase like the Titanic, and a second-floor balcony. The balcony is my favorite feature because I can stage additional lights to light up the main guest area. I can also photograph from unique angles without getting in the way of guests. Lastly, the balcony continues out back overlooking the wedding ceremony area and the creek.
This Miamisburg venue can accommodate probably more than 200 guests for a reception and has seating for most at the outdoor ceremony spot. There is a wooden pagoda structure on the south side of Rosewood Manor where the wedding couple and officiant stand. The guests are seated in white chairs on a large concrete patio that is handicap accessible. There is an overflow standing area under and on the second-floor balcony.
Choosing this medium-large event center for your wedding is a great choice if you want a memorable reception location in a picturesque country setting! For wedding photographers, the fountain combined with the beautiful sunset possibilities makes for great wedding photos. If given enough time to create artistic photos, we can walk around this wooded property looking for beautiful backgrounds.

This fantastic Dayton area wedding couple made up of two awesome grooms, hired me in 2021 to photograph their golf course home wedding. Due to the pandemic, they ended up splitting their wedding events into two. On a chilly day in late 2021, I photographed their wedding at grandma’s house.
A year later on a brutally cold day in 2022, their vow renewal and large reception took place at Magnolia Estate’s Rosewood Manor. The couple insisted on outdoor family photos, and I couldn’t have been happier with their decision. I prepped everyone and we ran outside, one group at a time, and captured dozens of cold but beautiful wedding group and family photos. Later in the evening, I was able to photograph these two at sunset in front of Rosewood Manor.
One great thing was the lady running the venue turned on the fountain for photos. Being that it was at the end of fall, I thought for sure it was off for the season. It was on for about 60 seconds, just long enough to get some fun shots of these two awesome grooms. The building is pretty, but at sunset, it shines. It is so white that the warm glow of the sunset sort of softens it. This is a good place for a wedding in the Dayton area.
Of all the wedding couples I have photographed at Rosewood Manor, I see these two the most. I’ve seen one of them at the Dayton Pride Festival, out and about, and have been his mom as well. What a great family. Being an LGBTQ-friendly wedding photographer in Dayton is a point of pride. I am never more proud of my five-star reviews than when I receive one from a couple like this. I treat every couple the same, regardless of sexual orientation. Love is love.
