Energetic Bellefontaine Wedding At A Private Campground Kamp-A-Lott

In August 2022 I photographed a long-time friend’s wedding at Kamp-A-Lott campground in Bellefontaine Ohio. This was the first and only time I’ve photographed a wedding at a campground. It is the first wedding I’ve ever shot in Logan County, Ohio. Bellefontaine Ohio campground wedding photography turned out so much better than I had imagined, and the wedding was incredibly fun.
What Made Me Love Shooting Bellefontaine Ohio Campground Wedding Photography
This wedding featured dozens of people I have known for years. The groom brought a 1933 Roadster vintage car which I used to create bas-ass vintage car wedding photos. This was my 223rd wedding and first at a campground. The images show a little bit of camp while elevating the location to create beautiful wedding photos.
This is a Bellefontaine campground that I have been visiting since 1997. I never considered this a good location for a wedding. When Jill asked me to photograph her wedding at the camp lodge, I said sure. Leading up to the date, I was trying to figure out how I was going to capture the essence of this campground while making the photos not camp-centric. I believe these wedding photos turned out very well.

Hilarious Bellefontaine Ohio Wedding At Private Campground

How Was It Have A Bellefontaine Ohio Wedding At Private Campground
The wedding images below show a little bit of camp while elevating this location. As I have mentioned in another blog post, my goal was to take the campground of these camp wedding photos. It was important to keep the ambiance of the campground while creating beautiful wedding photos. The area in which we could create wedding photos was very small and surrounded by trees and campers. Luckily, there was a long section of trees that we could use as a backdrop.
Having the vintage automobile gave me a centerpiece to photograph around. Otherwise, I would have been shooting the entire wedding party on a gravel parking lot. I was able to use my professional lighting to put a flash on the floorboard of the car.
