Bainbridge Island And Washington State Ferries From Seattle Via The Puget Sound Pacific Northwest

On our final full day in Seattle, September 2022, we took the Washington State Ferry from downtown Seattle to Bainbridge Island. The moment the ferry pulled away from the pier in the city, I felt as if I was in a different world. The authentic vintage ferry was huge and beautiful. As we left the Seattle skyline and a Norwegian cruise ship in the distance, we approached Bainbridge Island.

This island features a great little town, good restaurants, and local shopping. Only a short walk from the dock is the picturesque marina below. It was filled with too many sailboats to count. The large evergreen trees and the low clouds gave this inlet a real Pacific Northwest vibe. It was a magical place and was just minutes from the big city (Seattle).

I highly recommend spending a day on the island. Check out my other travel photography.

Afterward, indulge in the island’s Pacific Northwest culinary scene, where farm-to-table eateries, quaint cafes, and award-winning wineries await your palate. Savor the flavors of freshly caught seafood, delight in farm-fresh produce, or simply kick back with a cup of locally roasted coffee while taking in the serene island atmosphere.

Generally, Bainbridge Island is also a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. From kayaking and paddleboarding to biking and golfing, there’s an activity to suit every adventurer’s taste. The island’s laid-back ambiance and scenic surroundings create the perfect backdrop for a peaceful and rejuvenating retreat.
