The Lift in Dayton’s historic Huffman Historic District is set to become Dayton’s newest wedding and reception venue. This former ice cream cone plant from the early 1900s is undergoing a massive transformation to become another Dayton wedding venue in an historic building. These kinds of wedding venues are my favorite to photograph, as they combine history and weddings. The photos below are from June 2021 and show the progress being made to restore and revitalize this great Dayton property.
In September 2020, I photographed a fantastic and fun wedding at Dayton’s most unique wedding venue, Boonshoft Museum of Discovery. Between getting ready time and the wedding, we went to Wegerzyn Gardens to do all the formal photos. At this beautiful MetroPark in north Dayton, we did all of the family photos, bridal party photos, and bride/groom photos. It was a cloudy day and was perfect for outdoor portraits.
Over the years I have had many requests to sell my wedding photos and engagement photos. Today I finally enabled print sales for all of my wedding couples. All of the printing and order fulfillment is done by SmugMug (gallery hosting) and my chosen print vendor, Bay Photo. Together they provide great customer service. high-quality printed goods, and fast shipping. Below are the step by step directions for ordering your Dayton, Cincinnati, or Columbus wedding photos and engagement photos.
I photographed the most delightful wedding on May 1, 2021 at German Club Edelweiss in Englewood, Ohio. This fun Dayton wedding was the 202nd I’ve photographed and the first at a German club. As a Dayton wedding photographer and less specifically a Dayton photographer, it is always so much fun to photograph at a new venue.
Holy Angels Church in Dayton, a Catholic church, is a beautiful traditional Catholic church and is a perfect place for a Dayton wedding. This historic church is located at 1322 Brown St, Dayton, OH 45409 in front of the University of Dayton. I recommend this church for Dayton weddings for the following reasons assuming you are Catholic.

In October 2006, my wife suggested I rent a film SLR camera to photograph three weddings in three weeks as a guest. Upon developing film from these three weddings, I decided that I wanted to start my own photography business. In January 2007, I founded Kevin Lush Photography based in Dayton, Ohio. Having zero experience as a wedding photographer, I listed my services for free on Craigslist.
Dayton’s Best Historic Wedding And Reception Venue In August 2020, I photographed one of Dayton’s best wedding and reception venues (for the 4th time). Dayton’s Steam Plant is the perfect downtown Dayton wedding venue. The Steam Plant Dayton is a former DP&L steam generation plant just a few blocks east of the new Dayton Metro […]
This Moraine Country Club wedding day started out at Dayton’s best salon for brides and bridesmaids, Square One Salon and Spa. This downtown Dayton Salon is in a historic building and is beautiful inside. They have a bridal suite and even a photogenic location for wedding dress photos.
This Dayton wedding took place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in downtown Dayton with the bride and bridesmaids getting ready at Square One Salon and Spa. St. Joesph’s is a beautiful church next to the former Mendelson’s building in downtown’s Water Street District. The Mendelson’s property is being redeveloped by Crawford Hoying in the future.
