Best Thing About A Packard Museum Wedding: This museum is one of Dayton’s most unique wedding and reception venues and features numerous vintage automobiles in a historic car dealership. I drove by this venue for years never noticing it. Then a few years ago, I photographed my first wedding there. The venue and the history lessons were great. If you are inviting people in their 80s and 90s to your Dayton wedding, they will inevitably have stories to tell about a Packard they once owned or rode in.

Although I loved shooting here, it was challenging for me since I just wanted to look at classic cars all evening. It was a good problem to have.

Why should I choose to have my wedding here?

Choose this downtown Dayton wedding venue if you love vintage cars, want an automobile-themed reception, or just want a vintage vibe for your party. This is one of the most unique wedding venues in the area, and your guests will appreciate that. I know I do. The cocktail hour takes place on the ground floor just beyond the entrance. The reception takes place in a large hall just to the east of the main showroom.

My Take On Having A Wedding Here:

This is a small but unique wedding reception venue for vintage automobile lovers. This former Packard dealership features dozens of beautiful Packards as well as historic artifacts from the motor car company. Wedding couples who choose this venue should be aware that it cannot accommodate large numbers of guests. As a fan of old cars, I enjoyed this Dayton wedding venue and its beautiful vintage rides.

America’s Packard Museum Tip: Limit the number of kids at your event - this venue isn’t great for kids due to the historic autos on display.

What It Does Best:

Couples who want a nostalgic theme or an automobile theme will be well served here. A recent wedding did a Great Gatsby theme which fit in quite well.
