Preen By Appointment Offers Excellent Wedding Preparation

Although I don’t normally post about salons, I want to give a huge shout-out to Preen By Appointment in Oakwood, Ohio.  This hidden gem in a retro mid-century modern building located on Patterson Road is the best pre-wedding photography location I have had the pleasure of photographing.  I want to start off by saying I love the look of this building. It is something straight out of Palm Springs, California (where I coincidentally photographed a wedding).

Anyway, the two owners are professional, hilarious, and talented.  An incredible amount of light and space exists for many people to do wedding day hair and makeup.  Additionally, there is a little store inside for clients to browse when waiting for their turn. I was able to take the bride to a conference room in the back and photograph her on a reflective conference table. It was something unique I don’t ever see at weddings. I also loved this frosted door they had. I split the bride’s face with this door on her left side. The photo is below.

I am sharing four of my favorite images from the November Oakwood, Ohio wedding.  I highly recommend using Preen By Appointment for your pre-wedding needs. The results speak for themselves. Thanks to the ladies for allowing me to use every inch of this space. In the last photo, the maid of honor gave me a funny look which made for a great photo. I now think about this wedding every time I drive by the building.
