Englewood Ohio’s German Club Edelweiss Wedding Photos Outdoor Dayton Wedding

I photographed the most delightful wedding in May 2021, at German Club Edelweiss in Englewood, Ohio. This fun Dayton wedding was the 202nd I’ve shot and the first at a German club. As a wedding photographer and less specifically a Dayton photographer, it is always so much fun to photograph at a new venue, especially one that exceeds all expectations. German Club Edelweiss wedding photos can be beautiful if the weather is good (which it was). This is not a good rain venue.

The weather on this day was 70 and sunny, and the bride and groom decided to have the entire day take place outdoors. This club is near the intersection of Wenger Road and State Route 48 just north of I-70. It is less than one minute from 48 and you’ll dead-end right into it. Outside features a wedding ceremony area near the river, a smaller shelter (perfect for a dance floor), and a large shelter for tables and chairs. The bigger shelter has a raised area perfect for a head table, bar, and a place for the DJ.

Creating German Club Edelweiss Wedding Photos

After getting ready for their wedding day, the bride and groom married in a beautiful ceremony alongside the Stillwater River. The ceremony area backs up to within feet of the river which is very unique. A fun-filled wedding reception will all the wedding day traditions followed in the picnic shelter.

We did not use the interior for anything except getting ready and staging. The entire event was done outside. If you are planning to have your wedding here, be sure you have a rain contingency plan. There is only a small shelter and a small indoor area you could use. All in all, a surprisingly great place to have a wedding in Englewood.
