Chicago’s Lincoln Park And South Pond Nature Walk Lincoln Park Zoo

On a cool late summer day in September 2020, I traveled to Chicago to do my first traveling engagement shoot. Although they live in Chicago, their wedding will be in Dayton, Ohio. After many changes due to weather and COVID-19, I made my way to Chicago’s Lincoln Park, early one Saturday morning.

Our first selected location was the South Pond Nature Walk at Lincoln Park Zoo. We secured the required permit to take engagement photos at the South Pond Nature Walk. We spent one hour photographing various natural habitats around this beautiful lake and park. I didn’t know what to expect from this park. There are photos online but none capture the beauty of this park. My favorite part of this park is the honeycomb art structure that perfectly framed the couple. The parking near this park is very easy but expensive.
