Travel Photographer Based In Dayton

For my 2 day trip into the city (Manhattan), I chose to stay in Times Square, as my favorite hotel, The Knickerbocker Hotel NYC is located there. This hotel is high-class and expensive, but the central location and quality of everything at the hotel cannot be beaten. The staff is excellent, and I love photographing the property! Travel photography is one of my passions, so when I get a chance to visit a new city I get excited. In 2019, I visited downtown Baltimore, Maryland for the first time. I spent a day photographing Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, Harbor East, downtown Baltimore, and surrounding neighborhoods. Below are photos of downtown Baltimore and Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.

On a fall afternoon, I spent a few hours wandering around downtown Louisville, Kentucky. One location I wanted to photograph was Louisville Waterfront Park. This unique park is situated on the Ohio River facing Indiana and is a multi-acre park that has concert areas, green space, playgrounds, and a railroad bridge called The Big Four Bridge. The approach to the bridge is 1/4 mile and has an awesome looping ramp. I spent a while photographing the Ohio River, the bridge, Indiana, and Kentucky. The bridge is beautiful and is a great reuse of an abandoned railroad bridge.

Chicago has been one of my favorite cities to photograph since my first visit 17 years ago. Over the years, I photographed Chicago with a film point-and-shoot digital camera, and most recently, DSLR cameras. No matter what I’m using, I try to find interesting angles and objects to photograph. Anyone who is a fan of architecture, public transit, or big cities will love photographing the Windy City. As a wedding and engagement photographer, I walk around the city looking for picturesque locations where I love to photograph brides and grooms. Some of the images below are examples from a Summer 2018 trip to scout locations around Chicago’s Magnificent Mile and Chicago River.

On a recent weekend, we spent a few nights in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.  When we visited in 2016 and 2018, we rented an awesome Polaris UTV / ATV from a very friendly company on 321 in Gatlinburg.  Mountain Life UTV Rentals has been awesome! We rented, in total, three 4-person UTVs and a 2-person Slingshot. The rental staff is professional and the equipment is great.
