As a Dayton photographer, photographing this wedding and reception hall in Liberty Tower has been a goal of mine for years. As of 2023, I have photographed two weddings at this Dayton Art Deco wedding venue. The first wedding went very well, and the pictures turned out great. That day, we were able to access the roof for several Dayton rooftop wedding photos. Truly a highlight for me!
The second wedding was even more exciting for me. The second time I’ve been to a wedding venue gives me a chance to take what I learned the first time and take it to a new level. The photos from my second Grande Hall wedding were outstanding, many of which are below.
The Grande Hall is in one of Dayton’s oldest skyscrapers and takes the place of a former bank. The ground floor is used for wedding ceremonies and receptions while the extra large mezzanine upstairs serves as a great cocktail hour location. The bridal suite is large, well-lit, and spacious enough for a big wedding party. The final area, and by far the most badass, is the renovated bank vault, directly in line with the front doors and center of the ceremony. Depending o who is hired to decorate The Grande Hall, there may be color-matched LED lighting in the bank vault that compliments the wedding colors. The floor of the vault is made solely of penny rounds, and it is a great detail for this former bank. This is a high-class establishment, and I’d be honored to photograph weddings there every week
