For more than a decade, I wanted to photograph a wedding at The Syndicate across the Ohio River from Cincinnati. Honestly, I just wanted to go in to see it. This 450-seat reception venue in Newport Kentucky can accommodate hundreds of wedding guests. I have been driving by The Newport Syndicate for years. As a Cincinnati wedding photographer, I have never had the opportunity to shoot there.

I was absolutely blown away by how great this northern Kentucky wedding venue is. When you first walk in, it is like walking into a high-class lounge or club from the Rat Pack era. I pictured servers in tuxedos with a big band playing in the background. I wasn’t far off. The servers were top-notch, and the band was rocking. There is a separate bar area that was closed to guests. Additionally, there is a vintage-looking room where the wedding party gathered before the reception.

If you are looking for a Cincinnati-area wedding or reception venue, The Newport Syndicate is a great choice. It can hold up to 450 guests. The venue also offers great service for really large Cincinnati-area receptions. It is located just 3 minutes to the west of I-451 and the Big Mac Bridge. It is also 10 minutes east of Covington Kentucky and I-75, I-71, and I-471.

This wedding venue is a step back in time to when people went to supper clubs in formal wear. The venue has modern amenities but the stylings of a rat-pack dinner club. I had such a great feeling the entire night in this venue. It was as if I had been transported to 1950s Las Vegas.

TIP: Lastly, have a live band at The Syndicate. It is the perfect atmosphere.
