My 225th wedding was my fifth Dayton wedding at Yankee Trace Golf Course between Miamisburg and Springboro Ohio. While the reception was held in the recently redesigned Yankee Trace event space, the ceremony was held at a Catholic Church just off Austin Boulevard. Having non-church weddings has been a trend for the last several years, so photographing a church wedding was a welcome change.

The Willow Tree in Tipp City Ohio is the perfect barn wedding venue in Dayton. In the Fall of 2022, I photographed my 224th wedding, and it happened to be at the Willow Tree. This intimate 50-person wedding featured a bride and groom who danced and partied like no other I’ve seen. The groom was having the time of his life, and these Dayton wedding photos prove it.

So far in 2022 I have photographed some really great wedding couples at really great Dayton wedding and reception venues. The couple who left me a five-star review below only had me for 4 hours, but it was a blast. Their wedding in Kettering Ohio was very nice and meaningful. As soon as the family photos and formal photos were complete, the three of us headed to Carillon Historical Park just south of downtown Dayton. The couple’s reception was to be held there later in the day, so we had free reign of the historic property. With several ideas of their own, we set out to create fun and interesting wedding portraits. Once my four hours were up, we finished photographing in the Eichelberger Pavilion, and I went home. I was genuinely excited about how great these Dayton wedding portraits turned out.

In August 2022 I photographed a long-time friend’s wedding at Kamp-A-Lott campground in Bellefontaine Ohio. This wedding featured dozens of people I have known for years. The groom brought a 1933 roadster vintage car which I used to create bas-ass vintage car wedding photos. This was my 223rd wedding and first at a campground. The images show a little bit of camp while elevating the location to create beautiful wedding photos.

In August 2022 I photographed a long-time friend’s wedding at Kamp-A-Lott campground in Bellefontaine Ohio. I have been camping at this campground situated an hour from Dayton and an hour from Columbus. The wedding guests I have known for years. In 2022 I was honored by Ohio Weddings magazine to be named one of the best wedding photographers in Ohio. Being a Dayton wedding photographer and being recognized in the “Best In Ohio Weddings 2022” is such an honor. Since 2007 I have been photographing weddings in Dayton, Cincinnati, Columbus, and beyond.

In September 2022 we took our first trip to Seattle Washington. Seattle was the most amazing city I have ever been to, and as a wedding photographer, it presented an incredible array of Seattle wedding photography locations. I have been a wedding photographer since 2007 and can’t imagine a better city in which to photograph a wedding.

On a rainy day in 2022 I photographed a fun couple’s wedding at Benham’s Grove, an outdoor wedding venue in Centerville Ohio. I assured the couple we would be able to knock out the formal photos and family photos before the rain took over. With only about one minute to spare, all photos were done and everyone made it inside. The photos turned out great, and these were by far the best Benham’s Grove wedding photos I have ever taken.

My first wedding of 2022 was for a really nice couple who married at Richmond Indiana’s Fourth Floor Blues Club. This club is only accessible by going up an old freight elevator to the fourth floor of an old factory. Upon exiting the elevator, you are greeted with a beautiful open floor plan, brick walls, and tons of natural light. This is where this Richmond Indiana wedding took place. On the other side of the wall is a huge blues club with a full bar and seating for 100+ guests. This wedding was great, and the venue was stellar. Although I am a wedding photographer in Dayton Ohio, I travel to Richmond Indiana for weddings.
