Dave Matthews Band Concert Riverbend Music Center July 2 2019

Thanks to CincyMusic.com for the access to photograph the Chicago concert at Rose Music Center in Huber Heights, Ohio! It is so cool being a concert photographer! Growing up in the 80’s and 90’s I was forced to hear bands like Chicago and Hall & Oates for years. In fact, stores and restaurants are still playing this music. Although I don’t love the music, I jumped at the chance to shoot Chicago.

February 2, 1993, was my very first concert which was Metallica in the front row at E.J. Nutter Center. On January 30, 2019, I was able to photograph Metallica for CityBeat. It was an honor, and it was amazing!

George Thorogood rocked the Rose Music Center in Huber Heights, Ohio in July 2018.  This was such a fun concert to photograph. George played great music and came right to the cameras to perform.

I am currently in my 4th year as a professional concert photographer in Dayton and Cincinnati, and I accomplished one of my bucket list items two weeks ago. After months of emails and work, I got approved (by DMB’s awesome PR team) to photograph Dave Matthews Band at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati Ohio on behalf of CityBeat Cincinnati. I wanted to publish these images starting the night of the concert, June 7, 2018, but the photo release I signed forbid this. So, I took it upon myself to get the proper written permission to post these photos. CityBeat published many of these images (legally) the day after the show.

Tonight, May 11, 2018, was opening night of Rose Music Center At The Heights’ fourth concert season. The season opened to a 100% sold-out crowd on an 85-degree day with the best Pink Floyd tribute band, Brit Floyd. For the past two years, in addition to this year, I photographed this Dayton area concert on behalf of the band. This was a great way to start my 2018 Dayton concert photography season.

McGuffey Lane, a band based in Columbus, Ohio, played to an energetic crowd at Kettering, Ohio’s Fraze Pavilion last night. This was my 25th concert as a Dayton concert photographer and was the fifth time I’ve photographed this country-rock group. (I count all of my McGuffey Lane shows as 1 concert out of 25) Fraze Pavilion is a Dayton concert venue that competes directly with the Rose Music Center At The Heights in Huber Heights, Ohio. Last night I had the pleasure of photographing Better Than Ezra and The Wallflowers at Rose Music Center At The Heights. This was my first time seeing BTE and my third time seeing The Wallflowers. It was a really good concert at Dayton’s best concert venue! With Kevin Griffin, Tom Drummond, Michael Jerome, and James Arthur Payne Jr.

The My Morning Jacket concert at Riverbend Music Center’s PNC Pavilion on June 22, 2017, was outstanding! I was fortunate enough to be able to photograph the concert on behalf of the band! MMJ’s opening act was an awesome trio named The Record Company. I highly recommend you check out the music from both groups and see them in concert!

Tonight, May 19, 2017, was the opening night of Rose Music Center At The Heights’ third concert season.  The season opened strong with the best Pink Floyd tribute band, Brit Floyd.  Last year I photographed this Dayton area concert on behalf of the band.  This year, I was happy to be allowed to once again photograph for the band.  The set is always beautiful and the band is outstanding.  This was a great way to start my Dayton concert photography season.
