As always, Canopy Creek Farm in Miamisburg, Ohio hosted a fabulous wedding. Anyone looking for farm chic would be well served to reserve this best reception venue in Dayton. The main building is big, air-conditioned, and has lots of beautiful wood beams. The property, 28 acres, boasts a horse barn, lake, dock, creek, and numerous acres of fields. Additionally, I’ll help you decide if you want to get married in a beautiful air-conditioned barn in Dayton.
For a wedding photographer in Dayton Ohio, rural venues don’t get any better than this. An employee of Canopy Creek Farm was very helpful and drove me and the bride and groom around the property which enabled us to create creative Canopy Creek Farm wedding photos. Wedding photographers should be excited to shoot a wedding at this Dayton wedding venue. It is perfect!
There are two potential negatives to this venue. First is the lack of room for large weddings. Sure, the property is large, but the actual barn doesn’t seat that many. Second, there is no buffer between the reception area inside and the patio outside. It doesn’t seem like it would be an issue but on hot days, the air conditioning can’t keep up. The doors open to the west and are right next to the bar with people coming and going all night long. I always make sure to dress cool (polo shirts) because I know the inside will get a little warm. I will say that the outside of this place is perfect with plenty of places for guests to break off to.
Other barn-themed wedding venues in Dayton and Cincinnati are The Willow Tree in Tipp City and Canyon Run Ranch near Troy. Among barn wedding venues in Cincinnati, Ohio, Canopy Creek is, in my opinion, one of the best!
