On our final full day in Seattle, September 2022, we took the Washington State Ferry from downtown Seattle to Bainbridge Island. The moment the ferry pulled away from the pier, I felt as if I was in a different world. The authentic vintage ferry was huge and beautiful. As we left the Seattle skyline and a Norwegian cruise ship in the distance, we approached Bainbridge Island. This island features a great little town, good restaurants, and local shopping. I highly recommend spending a day on the island.
