Aviation Engagement Photography At The National Museum Of The U.S. Air Force

A while ago I took an hour to photograph an engagement session with a great couple and some of my favorite aircraft at the National Museum Of The United States Air Force. I enjoy shooting some of the USA’s mightiest fighters and bombers. I also enjoy engagement photography. What better things to put together? Creating Dayton aviation engagement photos is incredibly exciting for me. I want to talk about planes the entire time.

Aviation Photography

I hope you enjoy my aviation photography in Dayton Ohio as much as I do. It was a good challenge for me to combine planes in a dark setting with a fun couple. Due to the mood lighting at this museum, I had to bring my own lights. This was the first time using my new battery-powered off-camera lighting. I think the results turned out quite well. The key for photos here is to get there at 9 am when the museum opens. This way, you can get into the exhibits without having to work around hundreds of visitors.

The groom’s outfit was a perfectly nice, standard engagement outfit. The bride dressed up her outfit with a vintage hat which fit in well with several of the aircraft we used as backgrounds, most notably the Memphis Belle. I believe this was an Air Force groom, so this was a meaningful place for him.
