On a Monday in July 2023, I found out that I would be going to New York City on Friday. My nephew wanted to surprise his girl friend by showing up a poetry reading. So I went into travel planning mode, and book flights to Baltimore Maryland and Amtrak from Baltimore to New York City. This happened to be the second year is a row that I’ve done this route, so it came easily to me.
Summit One Vanderbilt was a truly life changing night in my life. I knew that New York City’s newest observation deck was going to be unique. This tourist attraction was mind blowing! We timed our entry to coincide with the summer sunset.

In August 2022 I took my wife on our fifth trip to New York City. This trip was a birthday surprise to see the Harry Styles concert opening night at Madison Square Garden. While we spent a few nights in the West Village, we did plenty of sightseeing. Below are some photos of The Oculus train station and mall at One World Trade. This magnificent architectural marvel is a beautiful addition to lower Manhattan.

In August 2022 I took my wife on our fifth trip to New York City. This trip was a birthday surprise to see the Harry Styles concert opening night at Madison Square Garden. A few years ago on the hottest weekend of my life, I had the pleasure of photographing this awesome couple in New York City’s Central Park. I have been a Dayton engagement photographer, capturing sessions all over Ohio, but this was the first time I was able to create beautiful Central Park engagement photos. The weekend I was doing Central Park engagement photography was extremely hot with high humidity. It was nearly unbearable, and the couple and I did our best given the conditions. It was a once-in-a-lifetime photography opportunity, and I am very happy with how these engagement photos New York City turned out. It was an amazing day being New York City engagement photographer!
