P!NK (Pink) Concert Schottenstein Center Columbus Ohio 2024

On an October 2024 night in Columbus, Ohio, I photographed a P!NK concert for the 2nd time. This concert took place on The Ohio State University Schottenstein Center to a sold-out crowd. The Script, an Irish pop/rock band opened the show. Prior to The Script and to P!NK, a DJ played popular music to get the crowd warmed up.
I first photographed Pink at Great American Ball Park in 2023 during a soundboard shoot. I felt happy with my 2023 GABP photos, but I approached the 2024 concert determined to capture even better shots. Once again, we shot from the soundboard, but with limited indoor space at the arena, I stood only 20 rows from the stage. Having already seen the show, I knew where she would be and where she would move. I focused on those key areas, allowing me to prepare better for photographing Alecia again.
P!NK delivers outstanding music, a bold, take-no-**** attitude, and incredible acrobatics. Throughout the show, she drops from the ceiling, flips through the air, and more—all while singing her massive hits. The performance is an incredible sight. Capturing her mid-air is challenging because of her speed and constant flips. Still, it’s thrilling to watch, and the crowd loves every moment.

In 2023 I photographed the show for Cincinnati CityBeat. For the 2024 show, I was working for CincyMusic.com. To be a professional concert photographer, I have to be credentialed by a legitimate publication. Of course, I am very lucky to have two great publications to shoot for.
