I have been a wedding photographer since 2007 and a wedding filmmaker since 2022. Adding videography to my service offering was a natural next step. I have already mastered my equipment and know how to compose photos. Over the past 3 years, I have been teaching myself various techniques to film and edit wedding videos. Below you will see my must have shot list for every wedding video I make.
Photography is my main focus, and no matter what, it takes precedence. During a wedding, I capture what I need then take the time to get video as well. Before the ceremony, I set up numerous cameras with different angles to capture the ceremony. Verifying that the recording has started is critical. When I first started learning video, I sometimes forgot to start the recording. Never again! So as a ceremony is taking place, I have multiple cameras capturing wedding video while I focus on capturing still photographs.
At each wedding, I have a series of shots that are must-get-shots. Also, I always try to customize shots for each event. It is your day, and your wedding film should be unique to you. Below you will see some of the must-get-shots (not guaranteed) that I try to get at each wedding.
