Lincoln Park And Fraze Pavilion Engagement Photos Kettering Ohio

This fun, newly engaged couple, wanted to have their engagement photos at Fraze Pavilion in Kettering Ohio. Lincoln Park this outdoor music venue provides a unique and fun location for engagement pics when the music center is available. The day we picked for engagement photos was beautiful, and the gates were open to the seating area. We worked our way around the always open to the public area and ended at the top of the music center just by the bleachers. I have never created Fraze Pavilion engagement photos, but it wouldn’t be the last.

Around this area, there are ponds, fountains, and a music venue that can be used as beautiful backdrops for photos. The is Kettering Ohio concert venue and community park that is located in the heart of Kettering. When not hosting a show, the park is free and open to the public. If you attend concerts here and want to celebrate your love of music, this engagement location is the choice for you. To make it even more fun, try to catch a live performance at Fraze Pavilion on the same day!

As I am also a professional concert photographer, concert venues are close to my heart.  I love photographing concerts with a full audience, empty venue photos, or something different like these engagement photos.  I don’t know too many people who have had their engagement photos taken at a concert venue.  Usually, these places are off-limits unless you are attending a ticketed event.  Thankfully, Kettering doesn’t lock down this venue on non-concert days, so we had our choice of locations to use.

The Fraze Pavilion is one of those places that just feels like summer, even when it’s empty. Every time I shoot there, I get this wave of nostalgia—warm nights, live music drifting through the air, and that buzz of excitement that only an outdoor venue can create. It’s such a fun spot for photos because it already comes with built-in energy. You don’t have to try too hard. The setting does half the work.

What I love most about the Fraze is how versatile it is. The amphitheater seats, the open lawn, the walkways, the fountain area—every corner gives you something different. You can go from bold and dramatic to relaxed and casual in just a few steps. I always encourage couples to explore a little. Walk up the steps, sit in the seats like you’re about to watch your favorite band, or wander down near the stage. The whole place was designed for movement, and that translates perfectly into photos. I still feel that Rose Music Center is far superior.

The surrounding area is just as good. The trees, the pond, the little pockets of greenery around Lincoln Park—they add softness to the modern structure of the Pavilion. And if we’re shooting in the evening, the place absolutely comes alive. The lights turn on, the air cools down, and everything feels a little more cinematic. It’s the perfect time for those candid shots where you forget you’re being photographed and just enjoy being together.

My favorite photos at the Fraze usually happen in the in-between moments—walking hand-in-hand across the lawn, laughing while you climb the steps, or sitting together with the Pavilion stretching out behind you. Nothing forced, nothing overly posed. Just the two of you in a place that feels vibrant and familiar.

If you want photos that feel fun, relaxed, and full of local charm, the Fraze Pavilion is a fantastic choice. It’s lively, iconic, and totally Dayton—exactly the kind of spot that makes sessions feel easy and memorable.
