A while ago I took an hour to photograph an engagement session with a great couple and some of my favorite aircraft at the National Museum Of The United States Air Force. I enjoy shooting some of the USA’s mightiest fighters and bombers. I also enjoy engagement photography. What better things to put together?
Over the years I have had many requests to sell my wedding photos and engagement photos. Today I finally enabled print sales for all of my wedding couples. All of the printing and order fulfillment is done by SmugMug (gallery hosting) and my chosen print vendor, Bay Photo. Together they provide great customer service. high-quality printed goods, and fast shipping. Below are the step by step directions for ordering your Dayton, Cincinnati, or Columbus wedding photos and engagement photos.
For the first time in a few years, I photographed a couple at Carillon Historical Park (Carillon Park) in Dayton, Ohio. This great collection of Dayton historic icons is located just south of downtown Dayton. For a small cost, the three of us spent 2 hours create fun and unique engagement photos in this history-laden park. There were backgrounds such as old buildings, vintage trolley cars, and a carousel. We spent a lot of time in Carillon Park’s transportation center, a Dayton wedding venue.
On a warm April evening, I met this aviation enthusiast-engaged couple at the Piqua Airport north of Dayton. It is my 230th engagement session, and it is my first-ever airport engagement session. I have shot aviation-themed engagement photos inside and outside the National Museum Of The U.S. Air Force but never at an airport. The groom flies a Beechcraft Sundowner airplane, so we did the engagement photos with the aircraft. We spent 2 hours creating these aviation engagement photos using the taxiway, runway, hangar, and airplane.. This was one of my favorite engagement sessions ever, as I love photographing couples and I love photographing airplanes.
On a rainy Saturday night in May 2020, I photographed a surprise wedding proposal in Centerville Ohio on a football field. It ended up happening in the dark due to the football stadium lights turning off at 10 pm. The bride’s family and the groom’s family were present for this marriage proposal. It was really sweet and fun to photograph such a special moment.
In September 2020 I photographed this great same-sex couple at Sugarcreek MetroPark in Bellbrook, Ohio. We had a great 2 hours hiking around this southern Dayton area park. I was able to capture so many great engagement photos on this late summer day. The dog’s bandana was a nice touch. “I love my mom” is what it said. Thank you to these two fun ladies for a very nice evening.
The last stops were my second favorite spots for Chicago engagement photography after Ohio Street Beach. We photographed at Michigan Avenue/Chicago River/Wabash, Wrigley Building, Chicago RiverWalk, Chicago Theatre, bridges over the Chicago River, the “L”, and the Civic Opera House.
Our second Chicago engagement location was the Ohio Street Beach by Navy Pier. This beach is one of my favorites in Chicago as it sits directly next to downtown Chicago. It is quite a sight to photograph a bride and groom on a beach with large skyscrapers less than a half-mile in the distance.
Our first Chicago engagement location was the South Pond Nature Walk at Lincoln Park Zoo. A permit is required to do engagement photos at the South Pond Nature Walk. We spent one hour photographing at various natural habitats around this beautiful lake and park.
Engagement sessions at Carriage Hill MetroPark are few and far between for me. This MetroPark is north of Dayton and features a lake, boardwalk, and working historical farm. The color choices found in this park include two red barns. As a Dayton engagement photographer, I usually get asked to photograph couples either in downtown Dayton or south of town. I do work with every bride and groom to determine the best Dayton engagement location for them! You will love your Carriage Hill engagement photos.
