What Reviews Mean To Me
Receiving wonderful wedding photography reviews is always such an honor for me. After photographing a wedding, I often wonder if the couple enjoyed their photos. Sometimes I hear back quickly, other times not at all, and occasionally, while I’m in the middle of something like cooking dinner, I’ll receive a surprise email with a glowing five-star review. When that happens, I make it a point to stop what I’m doing and read their feedback right away. The one below is a Polen Farm wedding review.
Reviews hold a dual significance for me. First, they help future clients—whether they’re brides, grooms, engaged couples, seniors, or parents—understand the experience I provide. Second, they reassure me that my clients are happy, which is my ultimate goal. I strive to create timeless, meaningful images that will last forever. Sometimes, I’ve photographed people who pass away a few years later, leaving those photos as cherished keepsakes for their loved ones. Knowing that my work can have such an impact is profoundly meaningful to me.
When someone takes the time to share how much their photos mean to them, it’s incredibly rewarding. I’m deeply grateful to the wedding couples, seniors, parents, and others who’ve left kind words on platforms like Google or shared compliments with me in person. During weddings, I often hear guests—parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, or even friends—say things like, “You’re doing such a great job” or “We love having you here!” Early in my career, I wondered how they could say that without seeing the photos yet. Over time, I realized it’s about more than just the pictures.
Guests observe how I interact with others. They see how I carry myself. They notice how I contribute to the atmosphere of the day. I love that they can appreciate that I’m not intrusive and that I bring positive energy to the event. Of course, the quality of my photos is always a priority, but knowing that people value the experience I create is just as rewarding.

I absolutely love all our photos and Kevin was so great just going with the flow when everything was off schedule! He was EARLY and he was so easy to communicate with leading up to the wedding! We got pretty much every photo I wanted and if I didn’t get a specific individual I definitely got photos with everyone. He was amazing to work with and I’ll love these photos for years to come!
